Early in our nation’s history, children who were taught within the home learned to read and write through a liberal use of the Bible. As time progressed, the public school system was established; but even then, much of the central teachings came from the Bible and belief in God. Today, reading of the Bible or prayer have been banned; therefore, a large part of the reason parents choose to home school their children is due to these facts.

Within the public school system today, they have embraced a ‘there is no right or wrong religion’ mentality in order they ‘not offend’ anyone’s beliefs.
